The Phillies announced plans for a new 4K HDR (high dynamic range) scoreboard that’s scheduled to be ready to use by Opening Day 2023. The new scoreboard will replace the current one in left field.
The last scoreboard revitalization project came in 2011 when the team installed a Daktronics LED HD scoreboard along with a closed captioning system. Aside from some necessary technological updates, “Phanavision” has largely stayed the same since the opening of Citizens Bank Park in 2004.
The team says fans visiting the ballpark next season will be able to experience ” …better viewing angles and short distance viewing like never before.
